Един значителен резултат от организирано-
то българо-индийско научно сътрудничество
беше откриването на възможност за нашата
страна да участва всяка година в Индийския
световен научен конгрес, на който обикновено
български изявени учени в областта на науч-
ното сътрудничество между България и Индия
докладват своите научни постижения.
След полагането на нова основа на нашето
научно сътрудничество с Индия, програмата
за българо-индийско сътрудничество получи
подкрепа от Министерството на образова-
нието и науката на България, в резултат на
което значително нарасна броят на проектите
между двете страни. Последвалите българо-
индийски научни сесии започнаха да правят
задълбочен анализ на постигнатите резултати
по съвместните проекти, което говори за една
изключително добра организация на новия
етап на развитие на българо-индийското
научно сътрудничество.

A New Stage of the
Scientific Cooperation
between Bulgaria and India

There has been a long-standing dynamic
coope ration between Bulgaria and India. A tempo-
rary slowdown occurred for about ten years period
after 1989. In 2000 an important bilateral agree-
ment was signed which placed science as one of
the major fields in mutual cooperation. This new
stage in the relationships was distinguished with
the decision to initiate joint projects in different
fields, from which particular scientific results were
expected. Some of those fields were: the participa-
tion of Bulgaria with a device for measuring the
cosmic radiation in the mission “Chandrayaan 1”
spacecraft; the project for joint research of laser for
industrial use (2003-2006); the successfully
accomplished projects, related to liquid crystals,
ion technologies, nuclear physics, climate changes
and geophysics, biotechnologies (immunology and
biology of multiplication). A significant result of
the organised Bulgarian-Indian scientific coopera-
tion was the opportunity for Bulgaria to participate
every year in the Indian Science Congress.
