Любопитен факт е, че 24 % от произвеждания
в цяла Индия чай идва от района на Дарджа-
линг, който разполага с 80 действащи чаени
плантации. Най-доброто време да се посетят
е от март до ноември.

The Golden Tea Story

Chai (tea) has always been the maiden choice
of people across the world to reduce stress and
fatigue. At present India is one of the largest tea
producers globally with 70 per cent production
getting consumed within the country. Darjee-
ling in the foothills of the Himalayas, the heavy
rainfall region of Assam, the “Blue Mountain”
landscape of Nilgiri, together with Munnar and
Wayanad, the lush regions of Kerala, are all im-
portant tea regions. Tea tours have gained popu-
larity in the past one decade and now become an
important part of many itineraries. During these
tours, one can visit tea factories, stay at tea bun-
galows, pluck tea leaves and gain knowledge too.
Waking up to the exotic aroma of freshly brewed
tea could be one of the many experiences.
