International Day of Yoga

2021 in Bulgaria

The 7th International Day of Yoga in
2021 was celebrated in Sofia with a number
of events. The main one was on June 20th in
front of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
Ambassador Sanjay Rana and Bulgarian Yoga
Federation President Vera Zaharieva addressed
the gathering. There were yoga practices and
performances. The book “Yoga” by prominent
yoga teacher Ventseslav Evtimov was also
launched at the event. Ambassador Rana gave an
interview for the Bulgarian National Television.
Stalls displaying Indian art, literature, henna
application, and ayurvedic products attracted
hundreds of visitors. In the runup, on June 12th
a free and open to all yoga class was organised
at the statue of Mahatma Gahdhi in South Park.
There was also a yoga practice near the iconic “St.
Alexander Nevski” cathedral.
