Aduri Venkata Sita Rama Murty was born on 22 of April 1947 in Ponduru, Andhra Pradesh. He has written about 220 short stories, 4 novels, 35 poems and 3 plays in Telugu. His last Short stories Anthology „Atma Trupti“, published in 2006, has been translated into Hindi by U.P. Hindi Sansthan. His short stories have also been translated into English, Tamil and Oriya. Aduri Murty was awarded many times for his short stories. In 2004 he received the UGADI KATHA PURASKAR award for the short stories anthology „Atma Dhruti“, and in 2005 – an award for the short story „Theruvu“ (on child labour problem). His short story „Shilpi“ was included in „KUMARA BHARATHI“, the X class Text book of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education.
