Indira Chandrasekhar returnеd to India after more than 17 years abroad. She has a Ph.D. in Biophysics and prior to committing to fiction writing she studied the dynamics of biological membranes at research institutes in India, the United States and Switzerland. She is the founding editor of the online magazine for short fiction Out of print (http://outofprintmagazine.co.in). She claims that the short story The Perfect Shot was inspired by the phenomenal lecture on Indian photography delivered by Ram Rahman in Jnanapravaha and by an interview of Homu Bhabha with Ahish Kapoor after his show in Bombay.
