Interview with Amil Khan

Amil Khan is a young actor, playwright and movie script writer and VJ. He was born on 18 November, 1988 in Calcutta, India. He has a bachelor degree in trade but since his early years has has been attracted to more creative activities. He took part in TV shows, performed sketches, organized the cultural programs and performances in his Saint Xavier’s College. He was the winner of 55 out of 75 shows and contests in which he had participated. He is the author of four plays and two short films. Khan is a member of a group for mastering the art of public speaking in Hindi and is an active participant in various debates. He is also the leading member of the college theatre company. In 2009 together with a group of friends he founded the Nine Point Blank art company. In the following years they performed in more than 30 plays, TV shows and short films. The company staged plays in the biggest Indian cities: Calcutta, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, as well as abroad, mainly in Singapore. They can be often seen in TV shows on Sony Entertainment, Zee TV, Star One, Star Plus, Bindaas Channel, MTV и Channel V. The people who inspire Aamil Khan are Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, Anurag Kashyap, Ram Gopal and some of his favourite actors are Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Amir Khan, Pankaj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar among others.
